Of Absolute Value

Some say there are no absolutes

Some say there are innumerable truths

I say it doesn't matter

I am absolutely here

And that's the truth

Having eaten of summer

The scent of autumn

Lay heavy in the breath of Earth

All that bloomed now dying and rotten

For that is the way of this worth

All relative these things we measure

Assigning value to this and that

Are children an everlasting pleasure

Does love really mean "never sad"

Fame and wealth, artifacts of time

Magic and religion artifacts of the mind

God and self artifacts of the soul

Life, bodies, feeling, and sensation artifacts of the

Body material

What value in being are these

Or their thoughts. Seems to me

Our nature is none of these
